If you cannot contact you own dentist as they have closed for the day you can call the following number, 03000 33 32 24.  Your call will be answered by a call handler who will ask you to provide your personal details such as name, address and telephone number, and you will be asked about your problem.  You will be given self-care advice by the call handler, or if your condition cannot wait until the next day, a clinician will speak to you and provide you with further advice.

If you require urgent dental treatment when your dental surgery is closed over a weekend, or bank holiday, you can contact 03000 33 32 24.  Your call will be answered by a call handler who will ask you to provide your personal details such as name, address and telephone number, and you will be asked about your problem. Your details will then be forwarded to the emergency duty dentist who will contact you to make an appointment. Please note this service is only available at weekends and bank holidays. There are a limited number of appointment slots. If we cannot accommodate you with an appointment, appropriate advice and self-management advice will be given accordingly by a clinician.

If you have an appointment with one of our emergency dentists and are not exempt from NHS dental charges it will be necessary to pay an NHS fee of approximately £16.00 at the time of your appointment. If your problem has been resolved with advice and self-care and/or telephone contact with a clinician, there will be no charge.
